Spotting this trend and driven by my love for the curries I grew up with, I started Quiqcurry. It’s not just a product, but a way to bring traditional Indian curries into modern kitchens.

The Quiqcurry Dream: Reimagining Culinary Heritage

Swapping my finance spreadsheets for spice jars, I embarked on a mission to craft that authentic taste of Indian curries. I sought to fuse the age-old recipes, passed down through generations, with the convenience of modern living. After tireless iterations, Quiqcurry was born – a versatile concoction that could seamlessly transform into a curry, chutney, or sandwich spread.

This ready-made, preservative-free curry paste was the embodiment of countless hours of meticulous research and development, fine-tuning a balance of spices emblematic of a quintessential Indian kitchen.

With an overwhelming affirmative nod from friends and family, Quiqcurry was introduced for Indian homes. Available in both 100 grams and one-kilogram packs, it wasn’t long before it became a household favorite, especially among working individuals in tier-1 cities.

The Crossroads: Quiqcurry Meets Walmart Vriddhi

Despite the heartfelt essence and potential of Quiqcurry, navigating the competitive landscape of the ready-to-cook segment, dominated by giants, was new to me. In May 2022, my pursuit of knowledge and expertise led me to Walmart Vriddhi. The program’s structured guidance was transformative. It not only equipped me with essential business strategies but also elevated Quiqcurry’s branding, optimizing product packaging and accentuating the brand’s online presence.

The Walmart Vriddhi program was not just about mentorship; it was a transformative experience that reshaped the very essence of Quiqcurry. With their guidance, a holistic revamp ensued. Quiqcurry’s product packaging underwent a makeover, becoming not just functional but also more appealing to the brand’s target audience. Walmart Vriddhi’s insights were instrumental in honing my brand’s online sales strategy, revealing the intricacies of the digital market. Moreover, I was introduced to efficient cost-cutting methodologies poised for implementation in the brand’s forthcoming production cycle.

But the brilliance of the Vriddhi program went beyond these tangible changes. It instilled a renewed vigor in me, inspiring the launch of Quiqcurry’s dedicated e-commerce platform. This was not merely about selling online; it was about establishing an omnipresent brand identity. Walmart Vriddhi equipped me with a comprehensive toolkit: from managing the intricate logistics and procurement channels, ensuring consistent buffer stock, to mastering account management and dispatch operations. All of this, while never losing sight of my core values of product quality and safety.

The mentor’s expertise, which I received thanks to the Walmart Vriddhi program, ushered in a paradigm shift in my business approach. My mentor highlighted the nuances of resource allocation, the art of prioritization in business operations, and the intricacies of production management and costing. It became evident that to truly scale and meet the burgeoning demands, I needed a team — not just any team, but specialists adept in their domains. Thus, from a three-member team, Quiqcurry grew into a ten-member brigade, each specializing in pivotal areas like production, sales, and digital marketing.

Empowered by these learnings, Quiqcurry’s footprint expanded. The brand ventured beyond the virtual realm, marking its presence in local markets. The joy of seeing Quiqcurry on supermarket shelves is indescribable. And to further broaden the brand’s reach, collaborations with select dealer distributor networks are underway, ensuring that every Indian household gets a taste of our authentic curry magic.

Quiqcurry’s Consistent Rise and Vision Forward

The Walmart Vriddhi chapter catalyzed a palpable shift. From selling under 100 kg monthly, Quiqcurry’s sales soared to over 300 kg. But this was not about the numbers. Every order echoed trust, every feedback resounded with satisfaction.

Driven by this success, my sights are set higher. Experimenting with diverse regional flavors, revamping packaging, fortifying the brand’s digital presence, and forming strategic partnerships are among the upcoming initiatives. The digital space has been instrumental in extending Quiqcurry’s flavors to cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and even pockets of Assam and Rajasthan.
